Integrating Classroom Walkthroughs with MTSS Initiatives to Foster Effective Instructional Practices and Interventions
A Session by Danielle Baranishyn (Instructional Coach, Founder, Sheet Savvy Educator)
About this Session
Classroom walkthroughs are a powerful tool for improving instruction, but they can also be used to measure and enhance the success of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) initiatives. This session will demonstrate how administrators and instructional coaches can adapt a Classroom Walkthrough Tracker to specifically measure MTSS implementation, focusing on Tier 1 instructional practices, intervention strategies for struggling learners, and overall fidelity to MTSS goals.
In this session, returning attendees could learn how to tweak their existing walkthrough forms to include MTSS-focused metrics, turning their current system into a tool for real-time data collection and MTSS measurement. New attendees could receive a free customizable Classroom Walkthrough form and Google Sheets™ dashboard template that will help them instantly gather actionable data, measure MTSS progress, and drive evidence-based decisions at their schools.
This session would designed to help school leaders empower their teams to effectively track and improve MTSS practices, fostering a data-driven approach to instructional support and schoolwide improvement.
